Gem-like Islands of Maldives

The Maldives Islands lie Southwest of India. The gem-like islands of the Maldives depict the rare vision of a tropical paradise. Palm fringed islands with sparkling white beaches,

turquoise lagoons, clear warm waters and coral reefs teeming with abundant varieties of marine flora and fauna, fascinates visitors as it has for thousands of years.

The big attraction, however, are the schools of fish that patrol the reefs in colorful packs: Humpback and Black and White Snappers, Trevally Jacks, Barracuda, Batfish, Unicornfish, Yellowback Fusiliers and Harlequin Sweetlips almost comical in design. The reef’s larger inhabitants, including sharks, rays and occasionally even Whale Sharks, are often seen cruising in the blue.

Fuamulaku is definitely the most beautiful destinations among other Maldive attractions. Famous for its tropical fruits all over Maldives, Fuamalaku offers most delicious mangoes mouthwatering pineapples and oranges you ever tasted in other tropical regions. Fresh vegetable and fruit farms are in abundance on this island and supplied all over the country and internationally.

Sultan Park is located at the site of demolished king’s palace and was built in 16th century. The park is stretched adjacent to The Islamic Center and is a favorite spot for tourists looking for a picnic point. Its lush green turf and shaded seats under huge tropical trees is also a recluse for workers who after a tiring day look forward to a casual smoke.

Seenu Atoll is a most famous tourist destination and the second largest city in the Maldives comprising 23 islands. It has numerous excellent diving sites with an irresistible opportunity for reef exploration. The Atoll is crowded with divers, scientists, and biologist interested in rich coral reefs. Seenu Atol has promising sites for active water sports like swimming, scuba diving, surfing, snorkeling, boating and sunbathing. The exotic marine life includes, lobster, sharks, turtles and manta ray.
