Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a union territory of India which lies in the Bay of Bengal.

Port Blair is the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It consists of about 527 islands both small and large. The coastline of these Islands stretches for about 100 Kms. The Islands are covered with dense forests all around. The area of the Islands is about 8,293 square kilometres.

The Islands consist of 2 groups, the Andaman and Nicobar. These two groups are separated by about 300 Km the capital city is Port Blair.  We can find high mountains, lush green forests, wide roads, new buildings and long coastline where are some entertaining features of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands which makes it beautiful. Peace prevails all over as there are no political or communal riots or atrocities. Not only the beauty of nature and the various enticing features but the peace loving people have made the Andaman and Nicobar Islands a tourist spot for visitors overseas.

The group of 572 islands of Andaman and Nicobar can be regarded as a naturalist’s heaven for its clean environment and crystal clear water bodies. The different hilly areas covered by lush green rain forests and sun kissed sea beaches are some of the major tourist attractions of the place. These islands are even known for adventurous activities like scuba diving, trekking, snorkeling, camping and varied other water sports.
