Panchgani - The Strawberry Grove

Panchgani means ‘five lands’ – which refers to the five villages positioned amid five hills in the Sahyadri mountain ranges.

The quaint village roads leading to Panchgani are long and winding, surrounded by charming views of a forgotten lifestyle.

Picturesque Panchgani is famous for its boarding schools, rustic bungalows, colonial cottages, fresh air and juicy strawberries! The soil is just right for berry farming and that’s the reason why strawberry, raspberry, mulberry and gooseberry are grown in abundance here!

On the Table Land, Panchgani is the second only to Tibetan Plateau as the longest mountain plateau in Asia. The view from the Table Land is fantastic.

In the Mapro Garden bloomed flowers are a joy to see. This garden will simply engage your attention and charm you with nothing but natural beauty. The garden today has 21 varieties of squashes, syrups, crushes and jelly varieties on display as well as on sale.
